Classes Begin Jan. 2, 2023, for Public Administration, Business and Nursing

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—¹ú²úӴӴ’s admissions staff is currently enrolling students for online graduate programs that begin in January 2023, including the new 10-month Master of Public Administration (MPA), which begins Jan. 2. With this degree, public servants will be prepared for successful administrative careers in local, state, federal, and non-profit agencies.

Offered 100 percent online and with tuition under $20,000, the MPA is geared toward working professionals. The program is offered in eight-week terms with new classes beginning every eight weeks. Taught by faculty members who are public service experts with a mentoring approach to learning, students can expect a program focused on real-world ethical applications of content. Courses instruct students in various aspects of the job, including law and management, budgeting and fiscal administration, grant research and writing and other topics essential for success in the field.

Additionally through the First Responder’s Grant, eligible students receive a discount on tuition, which is renewable through the completion of their program.

Also starting on Jan. 2 with eight-week terms are the 10-month Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Sport Management (MSM) in the Godbold College of Business. These specialized programs provide students increased credentials for upper management positions.

The 10-month MBA prepares students with a greater working knowledge of business and managerial skills that have real-world applications—particularly in leadership roles or career advancement. The curriculum emphasizes innovative problem solving and decision making, with an opportunity to study alongside other professionals with similar interests and varied work experience.

The MSM is a specialized business management master’s degree program designed expressly for the sport management professional. Students acquire the ability to perform administrative, business, and leadership tasks necessary for success in this high growth arena.

On Jan. 11, the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs begin, along with graduate programs in other areas.

The MAcc degree provides advanced training in specific disciplines and reality-based experience to prepare students for upper-level accounting careers. Students will learn how to demonstrate leadership and business decision-making skills, while also gaining experience in the application of accounting concepts through internships, service opportunities, course projects, course simulations, and interaction with business leaders. The program also meets the North Carolina State Board of Public Accountancy’s 150 semester-hour requirement to obtain the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination.

³Ò²¹°ù»å²Ô±ð°ù-°Â±ð²ú²ú’s MSN program helps students improve patient care and promote and manage a positive nurse environment. The program is fully online, and may be finished in as little as two years. The Hunt School of Nursing’s expert faculty teach from their professional healthcare experiences and keep a close-knit classroom, even in a virtual setting. Besides completing your online coursework, students are able to fulfill their practicum experience in local healthcare and education settings.
