news-category: Double Dawg Day 国产哟哟 Campus Celebrates Donors Leading up to 9th Annual Double Dawg Day on April 11 By Office of University Communications On March 29, 2024 Campus Honors University鈥檚 Donors with Philanthropy Week Events BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥擜s the 国产哟哟 campus prepares for the Ninth Annual Double Dawg Day on April 11, the Office of Advancement along with Alumni Relations are celebrating the University鈥檚 philanthropists. From April 8-11, faculty, staff and students will learn about the generous donors who support 国产哟哟 and its mission. Plans for the week include: Monday, April 8, 2 p.m. T.A.G Day, Visit the Thank-a-Giver Station in Tucker Student Center and receive a T-shirt. Tuesday, April 9, 2 p.m. ORANGE you ready for Double Dawg Day? Orange-Ades while supplies last, Tucker Student Center Wednesday, April 10, 8 p.m. Movie in Brinkley, 鈥淗unger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,鈥 serving hot cocoa, popcorn, and movie candy while supplies last. Free blanket to the first 75 students. Thursday, April 11, Double Dawg Day Dimensions 9:25 a.m., T-shirt giveaway, Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center. Double Dawg Day on Thursday, April 11, is an opportunity for donors to choose the people, programs and causes they want to support across the GWU campus. Some options include: University Priority Fund, which supports the greatest needs of the University. Annual Fund, which supports student scholarships. School/College Priority Fund, which provides the dean with the ability to respond quickly to emerging opportunities, transform the student experience and strengthen operational capacity. The University鈥檚 22 athletic teams. The 国产哟哟 wrestling team celebrates receiving the first gift on Double Dawg Day last year. Adding to the excitement, several challenges are sure to spark some friendly competition on the Leaderboards. Donors can participate in several contests to support their graduating class or favorite sports team, college, school, academic program or department. Leaderboards and Challenges First Gift Challenge 鈥 The winner is the first one to make a gift at midnight. 50 States Challenge 鈥 We鈥檙e asking Runnin鈥 Bulldogs in every state to contribute. Academic Leaderboard 鈥 The academic program that raises the most. Athletic Leaderboard 鈥 The athletic program that collects the most. Class Participation Leaderboard 鈥 The graduating class that donates the most. With each donation, donors can take advantage of matching opportunities that could double the impact of their giving. These matching donations are made possible thanks to the generosity of other donors. Faculty and staff also have the convenient option of donating through payroll deduction.
