A Bachelor of Science in Accounting will provide you with an overview of the basics and best practices of accounting, along with an array of quantitative techniques and business-based computer and problem-solving skills.

Coupled with studies rooted in Christian ethics, your program will allow you to put your learning into practice, explore career interests and make rewarding professional contacts through internships, networking and business related events.

Accelerated Master of Accountancy

The Accelerated Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program allows 国产哟哟 undergraduate students to begin work in the MAcc program while completing their bachelor鈥檚 degree in accounting.

Qualified students may apply for admission to the Accelerated Master鈥檚 Program (AMP) in Accountancy during their junior year (or after 60 credit hours). If accepted, students can take up to six credit hours of graduate coursework to apply toward their MAcc degree and earn combination credit for these hours at the undergraduate level.

Courses in this program are taught online in eight-week terms to increase flexibility.

Expand your knowledge of creative expression and its history through the exposure, education and understanding of Western and non-Western artistic and cultural heritage, while also developing your own artistic abilities in a variety of mediums.

As an art major, you will develop your artistic skills and abilities, celebrate your growth as an individual and broaden your understanding of the history, creation, exhibition and business of art. An Art degree will also give you the experience of working in a variety of forms of artistic expression.

Curriculum

What You’ll Learn

Through a comprehensive study of art forms and opportunities for the exhibition of your own work, the Art program will provide you with both foundational knowledge and portfolios of your work to help you craft the beginnings of your career in visual art. 国产哟哟 will offer you concentrations in two-dimensional art such as drawing and painting or three-dimensional work in ceramics and sculpture. 

During your senior year, you will exhibit work demonstrating a concentrated focus in technique, style and content, while also developing your critical thinking and communication skills by presenting a thesis defending your work.

The University offers a minor in art history which requires 18 credit hours of coursework. The minor in studio art requires the exhibit of a body of the strongest work that the student produces during studio classes.

Bachelor of Arts in Art*

In addition to the University鈥檚 required general education and prerequisites, the Bachelor of Arts in Art requires 50 credit hours of coursework, including 14 hours of history, exhibition and topics courses and 24 hours of foundation studio classes. A total of 12 elective hours must completed in courses at the 300 level or above. Nine of those hours must be taken in one studio sequence.

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art*

In addition to the University鈥檚 required general education and prerequisites, the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art requires 65 credit hours of coursework, including 17 hours of art academics and 24 hours of foundation studio courses. Twenty-four hours of elective coursework at the 300 level or above is also required, including 15 hours from one studio concentration and the remaining nine hours from outside the concentration.

Second Major in Art History

Students may earn a second major in Art History by completing 30 hours of classes and earning a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or better in a combination of Art History courses (21 hours) and Art Electives (9 hours).  Students earning a second major in Art History must complete and present an independent research paper in art history.

Students may complete a second major in Studio Arts by earning a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or better in Foundation Studio courses (30 hours) and two Art History courses (6 hours). Life and living things

The 国产哟哟 biology program prepares you for service in life science. You鈥檒l study living systems of the world side-by-side with passionate faculty mentors and take part in real-life scenarios, in the classroom and out in the field, with your peers. Our faculty will know your name, as well as your career aspirations, and personally invest in your success. 

Our small class sizes give you the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on undergraduate research and labs from the start. During your program, you鈥檒l master lab and field techniques, from applying the scientific method to natural phenomena and information to using key mathematical and statistical procedures and analyses. We also equip you with lifelong skills you鈥檒l need no matter what science-oriented career you choose, like strong problem solving techniques and written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Balance your scientific knowledge with the values of faith, stewardship, ethics, and social responsibility

Bachelor of Science in Biology

Choose between the biomedical concentration, which emphasizes anatomy, physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and other topics needed for a career in health or veterinary fields or a general biology curriculum that has more biodiversity, ecology, and other areas of biology.

The Coaching program clearly flows from the overall mission of the university. With society placing an undeniably strong emphasis on sport, it is critical that the university be engaged in the preparation of capable sport instructors and coaches. What You’ll Learn

Courses in the Department of Communication, Art & Design offer a broad exposure to communication theories, media writing, legal and ethical issues in communications fields, and digital media equipment. Learning from professors with experience in the communications industry, you will develop critical thinking, interpersonal and written communication, teamwork, and other skills. To complete your degree and connect your education with a career, you will gain practical experience through an internship that provides public interaction through speaking, writing and digital media.

In addition to general education and prerequisite course requirements, Communication Studies majors must complete 39 hours of coursework, which includes 15 hours of department core classes and 24 hours focused on a specific concentration in Photography, Public Relations or Video and Film.
